On Black Saturday, 7th February, 2009, the town of Flowerdale in Victoria was devastated by bushfires. More than eight people died and over 300 homes were lost, leaving many people homeless.

Initially, Flowerdale was known as the forgotten town of Black Saturday. Since that time the community has drawn together and taken action to build a temporary village to provide food and shelter for homeless residents. The spirit and resilience of the Flowerdale community has captured attention across the world. We are seeking pledges for donations to help:

How can you help?

We are going through the official registration processes to set up a Charitable Trust to raise funds from the public and will be in contact with those wishing to donate as soon as that is done.
